Project Details
Uganda Masjid Fund is seeking support to establish a permanent Masjid and Islamic Education Centre in Kyankwanzi District, Uganda.
The project will serve two important purposes: providing a dignified and safe place of worship for the surrounding Muslim community and creating a better environment for students receiving Islamic and general education.
The current learning and worship facilities are overcrowded and built with basic materials that provide limited space and comfort for the growing number of students and community members. The photographs show the difficult conditions in which children currently study and Muslims gather for prayer.
Who will benefit?
The project will directly benefit Muslim students, teachers, Quran instructors, local villagers and families from surrounding communities. It will also provide a lasting centre where future generations can learn, worship and strengthen their connection to their faith.
What we are seeking support for
* Construction of the Masjid
* Construction of two to three classroom blocks
* Wudu and sanitation facilities
* Essential educational facilities and furniture
* Other basic infrastructure required for the centre
This project is not simply about constructing a building. It is about creating a lasting centre of worship, education and community development for Muslims in Kyankwanzi.
We invite individuals, foundations, Islamic charities and generous donors to support this project. Every contribution will help us move closer to providing the community with a dignified Masjid and better educational facilities.
